SAUFEX (Secure Automated Unified Framework for Exchange) is a collaborative initiative, funded under Horizon Europe, and aimed at counteracting foreign information manipulation and interference (FIMI).
This project brings together academic institutions, think-tanks and start-ups from Finland, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland and Ukraine. Its mission is to protect democratic processes by harnessing the power of technology, and in particular by standardizing and automating FIMI analysis, enhancing democratic resilience and fostering international cooperation. In particular, the project investigates how European states and societies build and expand on their capabilities and resilience in order to face the rapidly changing (dis-)information environment.
In this context, we kindly invite you to participate in a survey that explores how EU member states are countering FIMI.
This survey is being conducted by the University of Warsaw and the Polish Academy of Sciences, on behalf of the SAUFEX consortium. Your insights will play a significant role in grasping the current state of play, as well as guiding the future developments in the field. It is vital for us that our conclusions and recommendations meet the expectations and needs of the community and the democratic societies in Europe and beyond.
We encourage you to share your perspectives by completing the survey by July 30. The survey is estimated to take about 10 minutes. Participation is entirely voluntary, and all responses will be kept anonymized and confidential, in accordance with ethical standards endorsed by the Ethics Committee at the University of Warsaw.
Should you have any inquiries or need further information, please do not hesitate to contact Piotr Sosnowski at the University of Warsaw via e-mail p.sosnowski2@uw.edu.pl
Thank you in advance for your contribution to shaping the future of our democracies.
